| So, I am taking a semester at Mission College because I was screwed over by SJSU just recently when I received in the mail a late notice that I had not completed my graduation requirements by 10 units. I had seen all the advisers I was told to see and did everything I was asked to do and apparently in the end, I found out that, despite it NOT being written ANYWHERE that when you waive classes they DON'T count for any credit towards the required credits to graduate. So yeah... FUCK YOU, SJSU... I'm so glad I don't have to go back because everything is getting more expensive and the SJSU bureaucracy is getting stupider so that even though they're strongly encouraging everyone who is eligible to graduate to do so, they are making it so much harder to actually get the classes needed to do so. Also, the credits I need are not in any way academically required, they're BS (bullshit, not Bachelor's of Science...) classes that don't really need to be taken at all. SJSU is just punishing me for getting all my requirements done in the least amount of classes, money, etc. They're punishing me for efficiency. Great... *an ass load of sarcasm* >_<;;;;
So yeah, I'm at Mission College now, for one semester, 10 units worth of BS. I'm taking two online classes, GDES 82 (Game Design & Architecture) and GDES 70 (Intro to Multimedia) and two in-person classes, GRART 64 (Intro to Photoshop) and WHP004 (Yoga). Hopefully, all of them should be easy enough. But even this early in, I feel sorta lethargic and bitter that I even have to take classes at all... I was so looking forward to being done with school a few months ago. So, you can imagine my annoyance at having to go back, even if it's just for shits and giggles classes. *sigh*
On the brighter note, at least I get what I was complaining about a few months ago. I get to flex my creativity muscle and make stuff. I should actually have things to say on here and DeviantArt for once. I even have to keep a journal for the game design class. So, I should hopefully get something out of this semester. Although, I do feel like the game design course is going to be more work than I want at times. But if all goes well, it will be a rewarding experience in the end.
On that note, I need to do some reading for that particular class. Perhaps more later. =)

| Good news! I have a new profile picture! At Jonathan's past birthday party, Dez came over and drew him a picture inspired by his love for Skuld and then drew me one as well for my belated birthday. It came out awesome and I wanted to show it off. XD Thanks, Nee-chan! You're the best!

| So I was bored and decided to spontaneously see if photo uploading worked using iblogger on my iPhone. It hadn't in the past because of some error in the app or possibly the Xanga API. But apparently it works now! I deleted the post. But it had a pic of a cow I took at Ranch 99 yesterday. Hell, I'll repost it and maybe a few others to make sure it works. If it does, I may be posting from my iPhone from now on. It was really annoying that I couldn't do it before.
Hmm, apparently, I can only upload one picture per post. Oh well, better than nothing. At least, it works now. Maybe 3.0 fixed it. =P | | |
| Happy Birthday to me...
I don't know why I'm not that excited about my birthday today... I've been so busy lately that it kind of sneaked up on me and now here it is. I didn't really have much anticipation or build up for it like in previous years. I think I'm getting to that point where it's just another day to me... which is kind of sad because I'm still young and I used to look forward to birthdays... *sigh* I didn't even think about planning anything with my friends to celebrate. This year, I really didn't feel like planning anything. I think it would be nice if just once someone would plan these things for me without me having to ask. I feel like I always have to do it myself... Sheesh, this entry is kind of a downer. Okay, I'll stop now. Maybe I'll think of something happier to put here later. I do need to update about my production status. I'll save that for later...
Oh yeah, one last thing, if anyone has noticed, the page got a make-over because apparently I forgot to host the wallpaper that was the background for the site for the last 6-7 years and the site does not exist anymore. To my surprise, it was replaced with a small icon of a Japanese guy with a Japanese flag headband and since my wallpaper was tiled it was tiled all over the page and looked horrible. I thought someone had hacked this page! Also my profile pic was changed somehow. But luckily, everything appears to be alright. I looked for another wallpaper which I have been meaning to find something new for awhile. I actually like this one better than the old one and I have set it so it scrolls with the pages. It looks nice. I guess it's a mini-present to my self today. I might also buy The Office mini-golf game app on iTunes as a mini-gift to myself today. I guess things are looking up. More about production later. Hopefully with photos if I don't fall asleep. ^^;;;

| I should hopefully get it back on Tuesday. The I'll see if I have to make any changes and then I need to start casting more people and start planning times to shoot the PSA so I have plenty of time to edit. I have three characters in my script for the PSA. Two of which are cast already. I need one more person. Preferably an Asian female. I know how racist/sexist that may sound.... but it's a PSA about racial discrimination, it's a sensitive subject and I seriously mean no jokes about it. So yeah, I will be thinking about it a lot over spring break and will hopefully have it all planned out by the end of spring break. I'm not sure I'll actually be able to get any filming done during the break. But plans will definitely be made for the following weeks to come.
God, this week is going to suck... I have 3 exams and a paper due. Why do teachers decide that students need to work their asses off right before spring break? It's ridiculous! One of the exams is online... but still! *sigh* I guess the paper won't be so bad once I actually finish reading the novel. I will probably finish it tomorrow and write it on Thursday night. I have been doing extremely well on all the papers for my 100W class so far, so I'm on top of things. I'm really not worried at all about that class. I guess my writing skills have improved? I tend to do well at things when I haven't done them in a long time. It's like starting a fresh slate. Like when I used to draw, my style would change and improve a little with the long absense I took from it. I would like to see if that actually holds true again. But I'm a little reluctant this time, I don't know if it will change or just end up being crap. Maybe I'll try again when I graduate. A lot of things will happen when I graduate, I hope. I'll get to do things I have missed doing for so long. Writing, drawing, creative things I have neglected because of school. I long to get those creative juices flowing again. Here's to high hopes for the future!
Speaking of the future, I will be going to Seattle for half of my spring break, from the 21st to the 25th. I am mostly going up there to meet and interview for two possible internships at University of Washington. I'm looking forward to it but also am a little nervous. I have never really truly interviewed for anything before. Well, I did for the Kyoto program, but that was different. That was more to match me up with a host family and such. I like to think I make a decent first impression on people. I hope things will work out. I'll give more details once I actually find more out about each internship.
I'll try to update again before I go up to Seattle. Have a good week all! I hope I will too... ^^;;;
